AERO 2025 will cover every aspect of General Aviation from air sports aircrafts to business jets. This is what makes AERO stand out among other trade fairs and showcases its ability to unite different areas of aviation. The industry is experiencing a good year, and there is still a lot of hope considering new pilots are driving the activity at flight schools, as well, further increasing the orders for training aircraft from manufacturers. A terminally optimistic AERO 2025 is on the horizon due to the enduring global challenges. The private ownership of single engine and twin engine piston aircraft is still robust.
Optimism in the Industry and Growing Demand for Pilots
Tobias Bretzel, AERO show director at Fairnamic, shared his excitement regarding the growth of the event: We are delighted with the development of AERO in general as well as in the individual areas. In addition to our traditional, loyal exhibitors, who have been meeting their customers and interested parties at AERO for many, many years, there are also many new companies that we will be welcoming to AERO in 2025. The number of exhibitor registrations is already ten percent up compared to last year. The e-flight expo in hall A7 will welcome again the Dutch Pavilion, as well as the Chinese Innovation pavilion for the first time. Both will be focusing on innovations within sustainable aviation. Furthermore, pavilions from the Czech Republic, and local German regions like Brandenburg, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, and Bremen. We are very happy to see so many pavilions joining us for AERO 2025 – this truly underlines the importance of the show in the different areas.”

General Aviation as a Hub for Innovation
AERO is an important meeting point for the cooperation of the different branches of aviation, regulatory bodies and international entities. A cockpit equipped with an electronic flight display is called a glass cockpit; hybrid flight technologies; and new materials like aircraft with internal structures made from non-metallic composite materials are first found in use in General Aviation before being adopted into commercial aviation, which illustrates the innovativeness of the sector.
Ultralight Aircraft and Glider Advancements on Display
The industry with the greatest degree of novelty in aircraft is the one producing the ultralight aircraft which will continue to show off its recent advancements at AERO 2025. The new development will be the advanced ultralight aircraft which will be displayed at the event because of the increase in the weight limit to 600 kilograms in Germany.
Spotlight on Sustainable Aviation Technologies
Glider manufacturers will again supplement AERO 2025 with their aircraft and services at the AERO Gliding Expo in Hall A1 alongside AERO 2025. That will be ahead of their reversion to the conventional two-year participation cycle. For AERO 2025, more than ten different national, regional aerospace cluster, and industry association pavilions have confirmed their participation.
AERO Conferences: Knowledge Exchange on a Global Scale
Global experts in the industry will have the opportunity to participate in over 200 sessions including the AERO Hydrogen and Battery Summit, General Aviation Academy, and product displays. Alongside the captioned summits, the amalgamation of marks of different countries will synergize knowledge in aviation.

Business Aviation and New Exhibition Spaces
Participants who come in for Business aviation will not only find it greater in scope than before, but they will also encounter their usual General Aviation comers including: light sport aircraft, Gyrocopters, piston engine aircraft, Microlights and Gliders. For those business aviation companies, Halls A2 and A3, and the new Business Aviation Dome in the Static Display will provide focused exhibiting opportunities. On April 9, 2025, a networking session will be held for the guests and the exhibitors to freely interact.
AERODrones: The Future of Unmanned Aerial Systems
Starting in 2025, AERODrones will relocate from hall A2 to B4 to be next to Helicopter Hall B5, which serves as a key drone operator’s gateway. The exhibition will take place from April 9th to 11th and will span three days.
Helicopter Innovations and Rotorcraft Conferences
OEMs will showcase their products in the Helicopter Hangar. Major players such as Airbus, Bell and Leonardo will be present, as well as their distributors, operators and suppliers. Together with the German Helicopter Association, they will host a four-day dedicated conference program to rotorcraft.
Aviation Career Opportunities and Industry Growth
There continue to be exceptional opportunities within the aviation industry in terms of a career ranging from piloting, engineering, skilled trades, to software engineering. Many industry leaders in AERO 2025 will interact and recruit students to strengthen the future workforce of the industry.
